We  meet  on  Sundays at   2:30 PM .     We hike for  about  1½ hours  with  a  good meal  afterwards. Great exercise, fresh air and good  friends.

 

Oct 5  Mendota Trail. Go east on Highway 62 and continue east on Highway 55 over the Mendota Bridge .    Turn left on Highway 13 onto the main street of Mendota. The entrance to the trail is behind Axel's Grill (1318 Highway 13, on the right). Do NOT park in Axel's Grill parking lot.

Oct 12 Afton State Park (East of St. Paul ). Go east on Highway I-94, south (right) on Highway 95, east (left) on Highway 20. Meet at the visitors center. Since there is a parking fee at Afton Park, I suggest a carpool from Ramada/Thunderbird Hotel at Highway I-494 and 24th Avenue at 1:30 PM. Meet at the extreme west end of the west parking lot of the hotel.

Oct 19 Locke Park , Fridley . From Highway I-694 go north on University Avenue and east (right) on 69th Street . Park in the southeast corner of the Columbia Ice Arena parking lot. The trail begins at the east end of the parking lot. Eat at the 50's Grill, 5524 Brooklyn Blvd ( west of   Brookdale Mall).

Oct 26  Westwood Hills, St. Louis Park. From Highway 7 go north on Highway
169. Go east (right) on Cedar Lake Road one mile (to the stop light). Go north (left) on Texas Avenue a half mile. Go west (left) on Franklin Avenue one third of a mile to the park entrance on the right.
